I've got a flight booked and I'll be in Winnipeg on the 17th.
Here's my itenerary:
AC266 Vancouver (BC) - Terminal: MAIN Winnipeg (MB) Dec 17, 2004
15:30 20:09 L
AC297 Winnipeg (MB) Vancouver (BC) - Terminal: MAIN Jan 3, 2005
18:45 19:55 I
Vancouver is lovely - but it still rains once in a while. I have a
new umbrella because I lost my old one. Apparently that isn't so
uncommon, but it was near death anyway so I'm happy.
I got a big, long umbrella this time just to see what it was like.

Guess what it's Wednesday
Yup.
Definitely. Things are hopping along in Vancouver - the sun actually
poked through the clouds today but I'm starting to learn not to count
on that. It can get a little dismal here, and my umbrella is getting
lots of use. In fact so much that it's starting to look a little
haggard, I suspect it's going to invert itself irreversibly at some
point.
I can't wait to get to Winnipeg and go to Santacon!
http://santacon.winterpeg.ca/ I've been waiting for this all year
long!!! Hope to see you there!
And Ry is working out the details for a snowboarding excursion for
NYE! Sweet! I'm going to have to get some practice. :)
I'm just not into this holiday. I'm not into the religious bits and
I'm just not into the buying of things for other people just because
one particular day of the year rolls around.
But I know that some of you might feel compelled to do something silly
and you might go out and buy me a winter solstice present anyway. So
I figured I'd best make a list so at least you don't screw it up too
badly! ;)
1) subscription to NewScientist $215
2) Patrick O'Brian's "The Mauritius Command" $20
4) snowboard bag (to put the board in silly) $40
5) snowboarding leash (they make 'em with locks too) $20
6) snowboarding stomp pad $10
